The Big Show!!

Hello uCamps families!!

The Original SDC Program is in full swing!

Upon arrival, campers participated in tons of games and got their cabin assignments. Night one had a brilliant first campfire and a cabin decorating contest to set the mood for the upcoming two weeks.
First Hellos!
The first full day held the first set of workshops! Everyone met up with their workshop leaders and started on the projects that they will be presenting at performance day! At Free Time, we had our famous "100-foot Slip'N'Slide" and campers had a blast cooling off on such a warm day. During the evening, each cabin had a booth at our Carnival & Ice Cream Social.
Field Games!
Day Three was our Ho-Down spirit day! The camp was covered in flannel and drawn-on freckles. When dusk hit, the camp gathered on the blacktop for line dancing and hay rides! Following the ho-down, we had an amazing campfire. At the end of the night, we had s'mores and a sing-a-long!
The Ho-Down!
Day Four was another day of workshops! It was quite warm, so we made sure to hydrate profusely and had a synchronized swimming workshop during Free Time to cool off. At night, we had a Casino/Karaoke Party. Everyone had a blast playing cards and singing their hearts out.
Camp is all smiles!
On Saturday, it was Happy Day! The camp was covered in smiles and bright colors to celebrate! After our campfire, the blacktop was open for a board game tournament or a night hike. Those that chose to hike spent the night under the stars until they were woken up by an unexpected rain. Everyone had good spirits about it, though, because the view was spectacular!
It's a Cat Party at Campfire!
Two days ago was Sunday Funday, so the camp took a break from performance workshops and had a day to chill out and catch up on rest. We topped it off with Movie Night, watching "Shrek 2."

Today, we are back in workshops and are so excited for Performance Day coming up on Saturday. It is going to be awesome!!
