FAME Camp 2014!

Hello uCamps family!!

We are loving being back in action at our FAME Camp!

On day one, campers participated in a plethora of games, songs, and activities to get into the Summer Camp vibe! Cabins met for lunch under the sun, followed by our camp tour, which led us all around our beautiful facility. After we went over workshop schedules, our first campfire took the energy to a whole new level. We ended the night by playing a charades-esque game called FFEECH!

Day two was our first spirit day, Hawaiian Day! Our uCamps family was decked out in their Hawaiian best and “Aloha” was heard quite frequently throughout the day. It was also the first day of workshops! The music program was jamming, the visual artists were inspiring, the film program was scripting, and the acting program was projecting. After campfire, the whole camp threw a pool party where along with swimming, there were Hula lessons and a huge field game called “Tribal Warriors!”

On Day three, workshops were back in action and the sun was shining. It was our famous Ho-Down themed day and we ended the day with the entire camp line dancing and one of the best campfires ever. Bald-e himself stated that it was a "top-10 campfire in our eleven years of uCamps." We followed our amazing campfire with a s’mores and songs. Standing at the back of the group, a person could see campers laughing, roasting marshmallows, singing songs with our rock band staff, and making jokes. We ended the night by introducing our “Rockstar” program to the campers.
Yeehaw!
Ho-Down in full swing!

Campfire? I love campfire!
All of that said, we are brought to today, our "Fantasy" themed day. The campsite is filled with trolls, magicians, wizards, and movie characters. Tonight, we have a movie night planned, where campers can bring their sleeping bags and blankets out under the stars and watch a movie on our outside projector. We look forward to all of the art and performances to come in the next three days of camp. We cannot wait for all of the parents to join us Sunday to see all of the performances that their children have been working on all week!

Performances have been awesome!
