Hello everyone!
SDC is the place to be right now! This past week we’ve been busy making over counselors, playing gaga, watching old uCamps films, telling ghost stories, eating s’mores, do-si-doing, and of course having mounds of fun!! Workshops are creating tons of art, and we can’t wait to see what will come of their efforts come performances next Saturday!
If you haven’t already heard, 2013 marks the 10 year anniversary of uCamps!! To accentuate this huge celebration, Bald E and the film crew have decided to remake a camp favorite from 2005--”THRILLER!”--and it is looking AMAZING! Everyone is getting involved, and many campers have been seen walking around camp in realistic zombie garb courtesy of other campers’ makeup expertise! This is a film you do not want to miss! On Friday, we had a crackin’ glow-in-the-dark pool party!! 300+ glowsticks were at the bottom of our pool and campers lit up the night with their own glowing accessories. Cheers were heard, splashing ensued...It was just a really great time for bonding and laughs! It was something we won’t soon forget!!
Yesterday was “Sunday Funday,” and amongst games of Capture the Flag, Mafia, Dutch Auction, and an Ice Cream Social, campers received a break from workshops and got some much needed rest with TWO siestas!!
Now we are gearing up for another week of workshops and much more fun to be had!
